THAT’S NOT HOW I REMEMBER IT PERFORMANCE

CHS Theatre VHSL Competition Selection “That’s Not How I Remember It” will be performed Thursday November 3rd at 7:00pm in the auditorium. Admission is free but donations to the CHS Theatre Department are welcome!

Check with your teacher to see if they are offering extra credit for attending this production!
My Theatre I and II students will receive extra credit by turning in their program at the end of the show!

Designing a Production Project Theatre I and II

This project was designed to complete in class. If you do not finish the work in class, you will need to complete it on your own time. This is due MONDAY OCTOBER 31st!

Day 1: Complete Design Concept Paper and Lighting Design Paper
Day 2: 3 Costume Sketches (with written external traits) and Scenic Design Ground Plan (templates provided in packet)
Day 3: Script Analysis (provided in packet)
Day 4: Prop list (hand write in class and type at home or in library remember to type) Soundtrack (make soundtrack list in class, complete the PowerPoint or burn CD at home)
Day 5: Assemble- you have time in class to put your project together, you will also have time to practice your presentation.

A Reminder from Ms. Picariello….
You have known about this project since 10/21. I have gone over the steps with you, given you the opportunity to ask me questions, and I have given you time to complete this in class. You also have the weekend to make sure your work is completed. If you need to take it home to practice or put on the last finishing touches, do so, just make sure you bring it back on Monday.
I will not accept ANY excuses for this being late. If you are not ready on Monday 10/31, 10 points will be deducted from your grade, and you have until Tuesday 11/1 to present and turn it in. After Tuesday I will not accept any late work. NO exceptions. Use your time wisely! If you have questions that pop up as you are completing the project feel free to email me- jpicariello@ccps.us

NOTEBOOK GRADE ALL CLASSES

I will be grading your notebooks. They must be in their correct bin no later than WEDNESDAY! If I do not have your completed notebook you will get an automatic 0! No late notebooks will be accepted.

THEATRE I PSA PROJECT (mid term)

PSA Project Name____________________________
Public Service Announcement: messages in the public with the objective of raising awareness, changing public attitudes and behavior towards a social issue.
Objective: To bring attention to a topic within your community and bring social change through theatrical techniques.
Directions: In groups of 2 or 3 Create a Public Service Announcement on a topic that affects Caroline High School or your surrounding community. Please use the following rubric to help create your PSA:

PSA MUST be 1 minutes long and no longer than 2 minutes long /10
Your PSA must bring awareness to a social topic within your community /10
Your PSA must call for change with that social topic /10
Characterization: Your PSA must have characters that help demonstrate your viewpoint on your PSA topic /10
Your PSA MUST have a coherent story with a beginning, middle, and end. /10

Timeline:
10/6- Brainstorming/Script Writing
10/10-10/11- Script Writing/Memorization/Rehearsal
10/12- Memorization/Rehearsal
10/13- Final Performance (will count as your mid term)

*You have the option to film your PSA, but you or your partner must have the capability to film and edit your piece. You must also make sure that if will be able to be sent to Ms. Picariello via e-mail to show the class. If you chose to record your PSA you MUST have it approved by Ms. Picariello first*
